DIGITALCORE
Everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their dreams, despite the circumstances they were born into. Lack of skills or training in a marketable field makes it almost impossible for anyone to earn income. We want to introduce DIGITALCORE, a micro-services solution with a Digital Portfolio Platform as its core. Our platform, is not only a digital portfolio that can grow with the user. It is also a reward system, that pays any participant or contributor to the various services integrated with its core, in digital coins. These coins can then be exchanged for provisions or rewards. Our platform was designed to not only integrate with future platforms and services we create, but with other services created by Belizeans who yearn to change the story for the younger generation. Digital portfolios can be used in seeking employment, discovering meaningful recreation, scaling education, and assisting with the challenges of parenthood. - Unemployment is a reality for many Belizeans such as ex-inmates and single parents who struggle to feed, clothe and educate their families. It is difficult for them to find a job because some of them never finished high school. Prospective employers often ask for a curriculum vitae, which lists the skills and knowledge of the potential employee. Many people feel intimidated and insecure about themselves because they never finished high school, but these individuals may possess skills that are valuable for the success of a company. Nevertheless, these experienced individuals have a wealth of knowledge and skill, which they are unable to appreciate. Our core platform will organize their skills and store their proof of works in a comprehensive manner, relieving them from the anxious task of creating a curriculum vitae. We will integrate our core platform, which is the building of the digital portfolio solution, with our existing job platform named Link Belize and our Digital Payment Solution named Payvazi. For this reason, we chose Employment as our main category for resolution. Our core platform allows people to be paid for participating or contributing to content aimed at a youth’s academical and recreational interests. Allowing them to be paid in digital coins, offer some control over contributors who are struggling with vices such as drinking. This is an attempt to encourage the individual to exchange their payment for provisions that are useful for the person’s survival. Having a controlled payment method within our core platform will not allow an individual who may be suffering from drug addiction to use their funds for illicit substances.

- Our platform consists of several services including a Job Service, Event Service and Education Service, to name a few; all working together towards a common goal. At its core, our platform will allow anyone to create a DigitalCore Account which will be their Online Digital Identification (DigitalCore ID). Any individual with a DigitalCore ID will have exclusive access to all the services in our platform. Although the main service we want to focus on is the Job Service then in the future scale to the other services.The platform will also contain a DigitalCore Portfolio Service which will contain history of all the activities they are involved in or all the jobs they work on. Anyone will be able to grow their DigitalCore Portfolio which can bring them more opportunities. Our platform will work along with our Digital Payment Solution called Payvazi, which is currently in development, to process digital coins.DigitalCore can be used by anyone including single mothers, students, ex-inmates, and the homeless. Our platform will allow any of these individuals to benefit from the various services. For instance, a single mother can upload a cooking video to the Education Service and earn digital coins from people subscribed to access the contents in that service. This event will also be added to her DigitalCore Portfolio. If a high school student participates in a community service, this event will be added to his DigitalCore Portfolio.The platform can also be of help to ex-inmates and the homeless who struggle to find a job. For instance, Community Councils can find these individuals and create a DigitalCore account for them using their fingerprint and give them jobs such as yard maintenance which will be paid to their account via the platform. They could then go to partnered stores and get groceries from those stores (the stores will scan their fingerprint to load their profile and view their funds available). Jobs can also be given to ex-inmates by their communities and in turn they can get paid through digital coins, which can be used to get groceries. The more an ex-inmate progresses, more different job opportunities are open to him. Every job these individuals do, will be added to their DigitalCore Portfolio.With the digital profile, we also hope to establish a trust model for people who find it hard to earn a decent living.

- Although our platform is designed to possibly benefit every Belizean due to the various services it will consist of, we want to focus and implement the Job Service of the platform then scale towards the other services as it grows. We are hoping that we are able to provide employment opportunities to anyone who needs it. We will initially involve every Community Council and work along with them to find the homeless or anyone in need from their community and allow them work on community maintenance jobs and pay them in digital coins through our platform. They could then go to any partner shop and use those digital coins to get groceries. We will partner with shops and implement a process to verify funds from these customers which they could use to get groceries. In stage 2, we will expand by making the platform available for the public. This will allow not only the Community Council to hire, but anyone who has a job that needs to be done, can post it on the platform for the public. This will allow persons such as single moms and students to earn some income and grow their portfolio from these jobs. They will also be paid in digital coins which they can pay with, at any store that accepts our payment solution. In stage 3, we will expand the platform to include businesses and allow them to outsource certain jobs to the public. Anyone with the skills can create an account and search for these premium jobs. The businesses will be able to hire and pay for the outsourced jobs in digital coins through the platform.

- We want to integrate several small services together, creating a micro services solution that works toward a common goal. Some of the services that we plan to integrate with our digital portfolio core are, an online education platform, LinkBelize, a job solution platform, and an online event organizer platform. We can also generate revenue from the API’s we create, which will allow other third party platforms, from different developers to work with our digital portfolio core. We can also charge a one-time fee for event organizers. LinkBelize will have the “LinkBelize for Business”, where employers can search for qualified individuals with certain criteria. They will be charged a monthly subscription fee for LinkBelize for Business. In the education platform, any course that is premium, DIGITALCORE will earn a percentage of the profit. People wishing to access premium courses can do so via monthly subscription to access all courses or a onetime payment for individual courses. Our digital portfolio core itself will be free for users, and certain services will have a free version, so that those in need can benefit.
