There are many primary schools throughout Belize and the main writing tool of the students is a pencil. Traditionally, pencils are made using wood; but, what if they could be made with another material, like paper?Every week, newspapers are bought, read and later discarded. My idea is to create pencils made from recycled newspapers and market initially to Belizean primary school students and later to the Caribbean.Paper pencils are not a new concept, but, it is to Belize. Such a business will not only create employment, but create an environmentally friendly product through the use of recycled newspaper to make pencils, rather and using the traditional wood.
